Huh, I forgot about this old thing. Time to resurrect it. I had that feeling where I wanted to blog something for the first time in ages.

Jordan H.: This blog isn't necessarily about long words; while I do like them, it is more about my life, with the use of etymology and language as a framing device. In Latin, sesquipedalian literally means "a foot and a half long." This being said, even short words can have rich meanings that stretch for miles. A picture is worth a thousand words? Nay, a word is worth a thousand pictures.
